About the role

Occupational therapy in the skilled nursing setting is about one thing: helping people get back to the activities that define their lives. At TheraDynamics, our OTs in SNF settings work with patients recovering from strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and progressive neurological conditions. You will design creative, functional interventions that address ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning. Your work directly determines whether a patient goes home or stays in a facility — and we give you the tools, time, and support to make that happen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Address self‑care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training.
• Apply strong clinical reasoning while maintaining realistic productivity expectations.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible New York State OT license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligibility).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem‑solving skills.

Pay

Competitive pay based on experience and location; rate ranges include levels for per diems with no benefits and Independent Contractors.
