Occupational Therapist (OT) - Walnut Creek
About the role
Occupational therapy focuses on specific daily activities and movements. Utilizing the common items at home or special adaptive equipment, the OT will train the patient or caregiver in activities such as self-grooming, dressing, toileting and bathing. There are also advanced activities such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry and shopping that the OT is particularly geared toward. In addition to the above, the occupational therapy team focuses on community re-integration, as well as introducing patients to leisure-type activities that provide a holistic approach to treating health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Train patients or caregivers in daily activities using common items or adaptive equipment
- Facilitate community re-integration and introduce patients to leisure activities
- Assess and address functional limitations in daily living activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding home safety and management of health conditions
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year Occupational Therapy experience desired
- Open to entry level or candidates with no prior home health experience
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license
- Reliable Transportation
- CPR/BLS Certification
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensure: Current California Occupational Therapy license

Compensation starting rate indicated on this posting is based on Employees working a Full-Time schedule. Salary: From $109,000.00 per year
