About the role
The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Implement treatment plans focused on improving functional independence and daily living skills
- Audit and document resident progress through daily notes, progress reports, and re-certifications
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Ensure confidentiality of resident information at all times
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as assigned
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Assist with departmental projects, reporting, and data tracking as directed by the Rehab Director
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current New York State Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred (not required)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative rehab team
