Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs
- Develop recovery plans
- Deliver occupational therapy
- Address the whole patient and see them as individuals
- Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence
- Adapt to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of work and settings
- Maintain collaboration with peers and make referrals as needed
- Train patients and caregivers on skills promoting independence and productivity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- A valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
