Occupational Therapist (OT)

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs
• Develop recovery plans
• Deliver occupational therapy
• Address the whole patient and see them as individuals
• Design programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence
• Adapt to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of work and settings
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with peers and make referrals as necessary
• Train patients and caregivers on skills promoting independence and productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
• Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
