About the Role
Powerback is the leader in physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, serving older adults and children in skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care. As an Occupational Therapist, you help patients get well and bring their power back. You assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy. You address the whole patient, design programs that restore and enhance physical abilities and independence, and adapt to the needs of each individual. You collaborate with peers, make referrals as needed, and train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized recovery plans
- Deliver occupational therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities and independence
- Adapt treatment approaches to the needs of each patient
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need
- Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
