About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team at Spring Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Pittsburgh, PA. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their maximum potential and regain independence in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions, including but not limited to, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and orthopedic injuries
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patients' goals and improve functional abilities
- Implement multiple modalities of occupational therapy, including but not limited to, range of motion exercises, strength training, neuromuscular re-education, and cognitive rehabilitation
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nursing, physical therapy, and speech-language pathology, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Provide education and support to patients and families on therapeutic exercises and self-care techniques
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania
- Experience working in a rehabilitation setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of others
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must:
- Have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Pennsylvania
- Have relevant work experience in a rehabilitation setting
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
