Occupational Therapist (OT) — Assisted Living Facility
About the role
Occupational therapy in the assisted living setting is about one thing: helping people get back to the activities that define their lives. At TheraDynamics, OTs in ALF settings work with patients recovering from strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and progressive neurological conditions. You will design creative, functional interventions that address ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning. Your work directly determines whether a patient goes home or stays in a facility, and you are provided with the tools, time, and support to make that happen.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
- Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, speech‑language pathology, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Address self‑care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to guide interventions while maintaining realistic productivity expectations.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current or eligible New Jersey OT license.
- NBCOT certification (or eligibility).
- Passion for helping patients regain independence.
- Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem‑solving skills.

Pay
All rates offered are based on position, years of applicable experience, and employment type. Rate ranges include levels for per diems with no benefits and Independent Contractors.
