About the role
Travel Occupational Therapist OT Tango Staffing is looking to hire for an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position to work in skilled nursing facilities in Plattsburgh, NY.
Responsibilities
- Completes thorough and accurate initial assessment and establishes appropriate plan of care for each patient as prescribed by physician.
- Implements appropriate treatment utilizing Activity of Daily Living (ADL) training, ROM, fine motor activities, functional mobility, therapeutic exercise for gross motor strength, cognitive-perceptual and sensorimotor activities, and patient and family/care person education.
- Adapts plan of care as needed to ensure that patients receive optimum benefit of treatment.
- Documents initial evaluation, daily treatment, reassessment, discharge and supplementary documentation as indicated thoroughly and accurately to provide effective communication with physicians and members of the rehabilitation team.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid and current New York State Occupational Therapy license and registration with the National Board Certification for Occupational Therapy.
