About the role

The SESLHD Mental Health Service is a specialized clinical service providing care to a local population of over 930,000 residents in the Sydney metropolitan area. Services are provided within both hospital and community settings to support people living with mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments of consumers within the Mental Health Unit and develop therapeutic care plans to address their needs.
• Develop and implement both group and individual programs for Mental Health consumers.
• Work unsupervised, set priorities, and complete tasks with attention to detail in a complex work environment.
• Understand and apply a recovery-focused model of care.
• Participate in effective teamwork.
• Utilize demonstrated computer skills.

Requirements

• Must hold general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or be able to register at time of commencement.
• Demonstrated experience conducting functional assessments and developing therapeutic care plans for Mental Health consumers.
• Experience in developing and implementing group and individual programs for Mental Health consumers.
• Ability to work unsupervised, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a complex work environment.
• Understanding of a recovery-focused model of care.
• Effective teamwork skills.
• Current Driver’s license.

Pay

• $40.05 - $46.80 per hour, plus superannuation.
