About the role
The SESLHD Mental Health Service is a specialized clinical service providing care to a local population of over 930,000 residents in the Sydney metropolitan area. Services are provided within both hospital and community settings to support people living with mental illness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct functional assessments of consumers within the Mental Health Unit and develop therapeutic care plans to address their needs.
- Develop and implement both group and individual programs for Mental Health consumers.
- Work unsupervised, set priorities, and complete tasks with attention to detail in a complex work environment.
- Understand and apply a recovery-focused model of care.
- Participate in effective teamwork.
- Utilize demonstrated computer skills.
Requirements
- Must hold general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency or be able to register at time of commencement.
- Demonstrated experience conducting functional assessments and developing therapeutic care plans for Mental Health consumers.
- Experience in developing and implementing group and individual programs for Mental Health consumers.
- Ability to work unsupervised, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a complex work environment.
- Understanding of a recovery-focused model of care.
- Effective teamwork skills.
- Current Driver’s license.

Pay
- $40.05 - $46.80 per hour, plus superannuation.
