Responsibilities

  • Execute individual treatment plans for patients
  • Conduct thorough evaluations including standardized assessments for pediatric and adult patients
  • Supervise one to two Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in compliance with current CA Board standards
  • Regularly measure clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progression toward goals, and projected discharge dates
  • Complete all necessary documentation using the Company’s electronic record system within expected timeframes
  • Educate and train families about various OT techniques and strategies
  • Meet minimum utilization goal of no less than 85% each month and other business objectives as required
  • Collaborate with peers in other disciplines within Ensemble Therapy for clients who receive multiple services
  • Complete Occupational Therapy treatments both in-person and via telehealth (when clinically appropriate)

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited school or program
  • Current Occupational Therapy License from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
  • Current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Skills & Abilities

  • Current knowledge of treatment practices and a drive to continually learn about and explore new treatment practices that may benefit clients
  • Strong ability and desire to work with a wide array of patients (age, race, ethnicity, etc.)
  • Highly flexible and agile in a dynamic work environment
  • Highly collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-service driven

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently or for prolonged periods of time
  • Physical abilities include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering
  • Ability to talk and hear conversations
  • Near/far visual acuity, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
