Occupational Therapist - Home Health Care - Northern Oakland County - 20 Hours/Week

The position covers Northern Oakland County, including but not limited to: Clarkston, Commerce Twp, Farmington, Farmington Hills, Milford, Novi, Orchard Lake, Sylvan Lake, Walled Lake, Waterford, West Bloomfield, White Lake, and Wixom.
Henry Ford Home Health Care provides a comprehensive network of services focusing on complex patient and caregiver needs, including chronic care management, joint replacement care, specialty infusion and transplant care, wound/ostomy/continence nursing, and palliative care. Services are delivered by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified wound/ostomy/continence nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, medical social workers, dietitians, and home health aides.
Responsibilities
- Perform OT evaluations and treatment patient care duties.
- Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs.
- Adequately document all aspects of patient care.
- Supervise and delegate to assistants and techs as appropriate.
- Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Current State of Michigan Registration and National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification.
Working Conditions
- Patient care setting with potential exposure to communicable diseases.
- Limited noise, temperature fluctuation, and dust are possible.
Schedule
20 hours per week, days.
