About the role

Therapy Orthopedics is seeking a part-time therapist to work varied days. Ideal candidates must be graduates of an accredited occupational therapy program with a BS or MS degree, and have 1 to 2 years of experience in acute and sub-acute care settings. Preference will be given to recent graduates.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in designated therapy areas
• Maintain professional licensure and registration with the appropriate South Carolina boards and the NBCOT
• Participate in continuing education to fulfill licensing and competency requirements
• Engage in independent study to enhance knowledge base
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver interdisciplinary patient care
• Accurately document all patient interventions in compliance with regulatory standards
• Obtain and maintain certifications such as CPR, Educode, and complete annual health screenings
• Perform other duties as directed by the Manager or Director

Requirements

State/National certification/licensure in occupational therapy is required. Other certifications may be beneficial but are not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of experience in acute/sub-acute care settings
• Preferably recent graduate
