About the role

Your skills will support pediatric through early-adult patients in an outpatient clinic as part of an interdisciplinary therapy team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to pediatric and early-adult patients.
  • Treat patients in an outpatient or community clinic setting.
  • Support interdisciplinary teams and manage varied child behaviors ethically and professionally.
  • Work on behavioral health and ABA-based programming.
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, behavioral health staff, and ABA teams.
  • Offer primarily 1:1 care and occasionally support group therapy.
  • Use Fusion EMR for documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Kentucky State License to start the position.
  • BLS Certification from AHA or ARC.
  • Experience providing pediatric occupational therapy services.
  • Experience treating early-adult patients is a plus.
  • Experience working in an outpatient or community clinic setting preferred.
  • Comfort providing primarily 1:1 care and occasional group therapy.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Fusion EMR.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Preferred Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Fusion EMR.
  • Ability to work on interdisciplinary teams and manage varied child behaviors ethically and professionally.

  • Excellent communication skills, especially when working with pediatric patients.
  • Outgoing and engaging communication style for pediatric care.
  • High ethical standards in clinical practice.

Schedule and Setting

  • Outpatient clinic setting with pediatric focus.
  • Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Flexible scheduling available due to urgent need, including options for 3x12, 4- or 5-day schedules.
  • Clinics supporting this role include locations in Leitchfield, Owensboro, Vine Grove, and Mount Washington, KY.
  • Primarily 1:1 therapy sessions. Some group therapy occurs at the clinic.
  • Client population includes children through early adults. Approximately 50% Medicaid payer mix.
