Occupational Therapist - Driver Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of visual, cognitive, physical, and perceptual skills to assess driving readiness.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, recommend adaptive equipment and vehicle modifications, and provide on-road training in collaboration with certified driver specialists.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, neuropsychologists, and physical therapists to support patient recovery and fitness-to-drive decisions.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the EMR, educate patients and families, and participate in program development and evidence-based initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Knowledge of adaptive driving equipment and vehicle modifications preferred.
