Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from illness or injury.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluations & Goal Setting: Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate functional limitations and establish collaborative patient-therapist treatment goals.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement evidence-based occupational therapy plans using specialized exercises, neuro-rehabilitation, and functional training.
- Independence & Adaptation: Train patients in adaptive techniques, customized activities of daily living (ADLs), and the use of specialized equipment to maximize self-care and work independence.
- Lifespan Care: Deliver age-appropriate, high-quality rehabilitative care across a broad clinical spectrum from pediatric to geriatric populations.
- Documentation Excellence: Maintain precise, compliant, and timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation detailing patient progress and care plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Experience: Graduate of an Occupational Therapy program from an accredited school with a degree in Occupational Therapy (DOT, MOT, or MSOT). Previous clinical experience is preferred, but passionate New Graduates ready to launch their careers are highly encouraged to apply!
- Licensure & Certifications: Must possess and maintain a current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the State of Illinois. Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
