Occupational Therapist Consultant

About the Role

An experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist Consultant is sought to provide high-quality therapy services to children with sensory, motor, and neurological needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric clients’ sensory, motor, and neurological functions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with family goals.
• Deliver direct occupational therapy in home-based settings, focusing on fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and neurological challenges.
• Use evidence-based interventions to foster independence and functional skills.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure effective support.
• Train families and caregivers to reinforce therapy strategies at home and in the community.
• Document sessions, progress, and outcomes, and monitor client improvements for plan adjustments.
• Participate in team meetings, community advocacy, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Connecticut.
• Expertise in sensory integration/processing, motor delays, and neurological disorders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pediatric feeding disorders and home-based therapy.
