About the role
The Edinburg Center is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist within Children’s Mental Health Services providing services to youth under the age of 21 with mental health needs in their homes. The Occupational Therapist works as part of a multidisciplinary team including Social Workers/Mental Health Clinicians, Outreach Staff, Young Adult Peer Mentor, and Family Partner. The role involves providing therapy to youth and young adults in the areas of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and self-care skills within the professional scope of practice. This role will provide assessment and direct treatment, as well as consultation.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy to youth and young adults in the areas of sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, and self-care skills within the professional scope of practice.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Social Workers/Mental Health Clinicians, Outreach Staff, Young Adult Peer Mentor, and Family Partner.
- Provide assessment and direct treatment, as well as consultation.
Requirements
- Has earned an Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited institution, is licensed as an OT-L, and possesses a minimum of 2 years of experience working with a pediatric population.
- Prior experience working with youth with serious emotional and behavioral health disturbances and their families preferred.
- SIPT certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A flexible schedule.
Skills
- Valid MA driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

FEE FOR SERVICE $50 PER HOUR
