Occupational Therapist
Position Details
This position will be based at the LIFE of Montgomery County.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- Current, unencumbered, active occupational therapy license in the state of PACE Organization.
- Two (2) years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist preferred.
- One (1) year of experience working with a frail or elderly population; appropriate clinical placement experience may be substituted.
- Must have Employee Medical Statement meeting job requirements.
What You Will Do
- Evaluate, develop, mentor, coach, counsel, and discipline department staff.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and corporate integrity programs.
- Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes.
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and care planning.
- Cookordination home modification programs to support independence and safety.
- Provide treatment to participants consistent with identified goals.
- Train family members, caregivers, and staff in maximizing safety and functional abilities.
- Evaluate participant progress and document therapy notes accurately.
