About the role
The Occupational Therapist at Harmony House will evaluate, plan, organize, and administer occupational therapy services to ensure high-quality care. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals and adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Support Occupational/Physical Therapist Assistants by providing training and guidance.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all treatment provided.
- Provide therapeutic procedures and support therapy services.
- Administer manual exercises and instruct patients in various physical activities.
- Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Collaborate with physicians and other staff to integrate occupational therapy with overall patient care.
Requirements
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A current, unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the assigned state.
Qualifications
- Experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
- Knowledge of patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
