Key Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations within required timelines
- Offer individual and group therapy services that align with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and special education meetings as needed
- Keep accurate records, progress notes, and weekly reports
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, parents, and administrators
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and parents as requested
- Recommend therapeutic equipment and interventions to support student performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
- A current, unrestricted U.S. state license to practice Occupational Therapy
- A current NBCOT certification
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a school setting
Schedule
2–3 days per week, up to 8 hours/day; up to 36 weeks per school year
