We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse and challenging healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments to identify physical and functional needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that promote optimal health, functional mobility, and independence.
- Providing hands-on therapy and using adaptive equipment to help patients perform daily activities.
- Offering patient education and guidance on using assistive devices, modifications, and techniques to improve quality of life.
- Coinciding care with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated treatment.
- Documenting patient progress and updating electronic medical records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Providing neurological rehabilitation for patients suffering from brain injuries, stroke, or other neurological disorders.
- Maintaining CPR certification and applying emergency procedures when necessary.
- Training patients and their families on adaptive equipment to ensure safe and effective use.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- CPR certified.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
- Extensive experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, and neurological rehabilitation.
- Knowledge and experience in teaching Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and using adaptive equipment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest best practices in occupational therapy.
