Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a diverse and challenging healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive patient assessments to identify physical and functional needs.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that promote optimal health, functional mobility, and independence.
  • Providing hands-on therapy and using adaptive equipment to help patients perform daily activities.
  • Offering patient education and guidance on using assistive devices, modifications, and techniques to improve quality of life.
  • Coinciding care with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated treatment.
  • Documenting patient progress and updating electronic medical records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Providing neurological rehabilitation for patients suffering from brain injuries, stroke, or other neurological disorders.
  • Maintaining CPR certification and applying emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Training patients and their families on adaptive equipment to ensure safe and effective use.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • CPR certified.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
  • Extensive experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, and neurological rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge and experience in teaching Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and using adaptive equipment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach to care.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest best practices in occupational therapy.
