About the role
Occupational therapy in the skilled nursing setting is about one thing: helping people get back to the activities that define their lives. At TheraDynamics, our OTs in SNF settings work with patients recovering from strokes, hip fractures, cardiac events, and progressive neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
- Assist Occupational Therapist in performing procedures, tests, and complex treatments to ensure the safe, effective evaluation and treatment of patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence
- Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care
- Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training
- Valued clinical reasoning and realistic productivity expectations
Requirements
- Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current or eligible for New York State OTA license
- NBCOT certification (or eligible)

- Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills
