About the Role

This position involves carrying out the plan of care as outlined by a supervising Occupational Therapist to improve functional movement and independence with daily tasks through various therapeutic exercises and activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient-related activities, including delegated procedures appropriate to your educational background and training.
• Engage in therapeutic exercise and activities.
• Provide ADL (Activities of Daily Living) training.
• Work on fine motor skills and coordination.
• Apply physical agents and modalities.
• Provide patient education.

Requirements

• No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

Skills

• Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills, and organizational skills.
• A self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated interest in professional growth through attending continuing education workshops and applying new principles and techniques.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

• License for Occupational Therapy Assistant active in the state of Missouri.
