About the role

Natividad is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist in our Acute Rehabilitation Unit. The role offers a nurturing environment and recognition for excellence in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and assesses patients' functional status
  • Develops and implements occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Provides therapeutic activities to improve patients' physical and mental conditions
  • Consults with medical professionals and families to address patient needs
  • Documents treatment and progress in patient charts
  • Instructs patients in daily living activities and addresses adjustment issues
  • Works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and staff
  • Maintains and updates equipment and supplies
  • Conducts in-service training and participates in program development
  • Participates in meetings and attends relevant training sessions

Requirements

  • Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist license from the State of California
  • Experience: At least two years of work experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum
  • Knowledge: Understanding of various physical and mental disabilities, therapeutic techniques, and patient care
  • Skills: Ability to evaluate and assess patients, develop treatment plans, and communicate effectively with patients and staff

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy theories and practices
  • Experience in treating patients with physical and mental disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

$62.206 - $84.961 per hour for Occupational Therapist ARU per-diem positions.
