Description

Position Purpose: Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join their mission-driven Acute Care Rehab Team.

What You Will Do:

  • Performs evaluations, direct patient treatment, and provides documentation for patients referred for occupational therapy.
  • Identifies appropriate long and short-term goals and develops treatment plans to respond to those goals.
  • Provides full scope of direct and clinical services necessary to maximize the care for patients of all ages.
  • Communicates results of assessment or treatment program including written and/or verbal means.
  • Works with patient, family, care provider to communicate patient status and progress, as well as providing adequate training.
  • Develops and maintains advanced clinical skills, including acknowledged area of expertise and multi-site/unit clinical service diversification.
  • Maintains appropriate communication with treatment team, physicians, clients, and/or family members to facilitate problem solving, program planning, and education.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AOTA accredited school.
  • Current State of CT license.
  • Strong Communication Skills.
