Job Summary

Administers, supervises and directs the administration of occupational therapy evaluations, therapeutic activity, construction of orthotics and instruction in their use upon referral from a physician. Establishes, supervises, and directs the appropriate treatment program of patients.

Works within the Occupational Therapy Department at the University of Toledo Health Science Campus Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Administers occupational therapy evaluations
• Supervises and directs therapeutic activity
• Constructs and instructs in the use of orthotics
• Establishes and supervises treatment programs
• Collaborates with physicians for patient referrals
• Maintains licensure and professional standards
• Ensures compliance with safety protocols
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintains accurate documentation for payors

Requirements

• Maintain current, active licensure from Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers
• Maintain Standards set by the American Occupational Therapy Association regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics
• Pass annual safety test
• Achieve competencies for assigned work area as directed by director

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current, active licensure from Ohio Board of Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to perform CPR

$33.54 - $40.89 per hour
