Essential Functions
- Evaluate therapy needs.
- Create and revise treatment plans as needed.
- Perform occupational therapy procedures as directed.
- Communicate with OT/PT Manager regarding patient needs.
- Collaborate with other team members and designated individuals.
- Serve as a supervisor and mentor to student OTs.
- Participate in in-service education programs.
- Participate in formal staff training and in-service training.
- Record evaluations, progress notes, consultations, and discharge summaries.
- Submit notes, evaluations, and required forms within agency guidelines.
- Maintain and prepare records and reports as requested.
- Make recommendations for specialized program materials, supplies, and adaptive equipment.
Education (Minimum Degree Required)
Masters in Occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licenses and Certifications
New York State Licensed and Registered as an Occupational Therapist.
Physical Requirements
- Standing, sitting, bending, lifting, kneeling, squatting, reaching, printing, crawling, running, twisting & turning.
- Vision, speech, tactical, and hearing senses adequate to perform job requirements.
- Frequent sitting/standing and floor sitting with pediatric patients when appropriate.
