Occupational Ther PRN Plan 2 (Inpatient Rehab)

About the role

The Occupational Therapist at this Inpatient Rehab Facility (IRF) is responsible for:

• Utilizing purposeful activities or interventions to achieve functional outcomes.
• Maximizing the independence and maintenance of health of individuals with various limitations such as physical injuries, illnesses, cognitive impairments, psychosocial dysfunctions, mental illnesses, developmental or learning disabilities, or adverse environmental conditions.
• Assessing patients, identifying their level of acuity, planning their treatment programs, and implementing or directing these programs.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients to identify their needs and capabilities.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans that promote functional independence.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Evaluating progress towards treatment goals and making adjustments as necessary.

Requirements

• Successful completion of Annual Orthopedic education requirements upon hire and annually thereafter.
• Completion of a Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Preferred experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

Qualifications

• Florida Occupational Therapist license.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
