About the role
We are excited to welcome you to Piedmont Airlines! Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our customers and airline partners. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable student to join our Safety Department as an intern.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in Occupational Safety and Health Programs, including but not limited to: Injury and Illness Prevention; Heat Illness Prevention; Wildfire Smoke Protocol; and OSHA Self-Audits
- Aid in review and follow-up of report submissions
- Aid in creating data visualizations and reviewing manuals
Job Qualifications and Competencies
- One (1) year of progress towards a degree with a major or minor in safety or aviation/aeronautical science
- Excellent communication and Microsoft Office Suite skills required
- Organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, ability to multi-task, problem solving skills, and the ability to set and meet deadlines
- General knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations, and procedures regarding airline safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Junior or Senior student
- Prior work experience, especially in a fast-paced office environment
- Knowledge of Tableau
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule if needed
- Some travel required
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Interns receive travel privileges on the American Airlines network. Starting Rate $16.93/Hourly.
