About the role
Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on high-quality sales, parts, and service for various Caterpillar equipment types.
Responsibilities
- Drive engagement with employees through increased store visits.
- Conduct store safety audits.
- Build and maintain a strong safety culture through coaching.
- Ensure employees work in a safe environment.
- Lead meetings and training classes for both internal and external customers.
- Aid in special projects.
- Manage the Yancey Bros. Co. Near Miss program.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related field, with 3+ years of professional experience.
- Desired certifications include Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE).
- Strong background in heavy equipment, power generation, or on-highway truck shops.
- Strong customer service focus, excellent organizational skills, basic computer skills, public speaking skills, and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex regulatory requirements.
