About the role

The occupational medicine physician oversees the diagnosis and treatment of occupational illnesses and injuries, focusing on clinic-based diagnosis, triage, and return-to-work plans.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, recommend diagnostic tests, and develop treatment strategies
• Lead the development of protocols and processes for the occupational health service line
• Manage the worker's compensation program by coordinating with industry stakeholders, employers, and case managers
• Help structure and enhance the occupational health service offerings for the organization

Qualifications

• Licensed M.D. or D.O. with completion of an ACGME-accredited two-year occupational medicine residency program

Skills

• Strong clinical assessment, program development, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to design and implement occupational health protocols and manage worker's compensation processes effectively
