Occupational Health Nurse

Job Description

Responsible for providing on-site emergency care, acute injury care and case management for health-related issues, work related and non-work-related injuries and illness.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct on-site occupational health nursing to a specific site
• Deliver projects at the site or regional level in health promotion initiatives in partnership with Benefits, EHS and other stakeholders
• Work remotely to guide field service colleagues as authorized by Federal/Local laws and under the direction of senior clinical management (GEHC medical director and nurse manager)

Required Qualifications

• Valid state RN licensure and Basic Life Support certified
• At least three years independent clinical experience in primary care or urgent care setting
• Proficient in basic emergency response per BLS requirements, administering vaccinations and phlebotomy
• Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and web-based systems/programs and electronic medical record systems

Prior Experience

• Prior occupational medicine or emergency room/family practice related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) credential and knowledge of FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, ADA, and OSHA regulations
