Role Overview

The Lead OB/GYN Physician will be responsible for the strategic management of the OB/GYN department, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, holistic, patient-centered care while meeting key organizational, HRSA, funding, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for the OB/GYN department
  • Ensure quality metrics, HRSA requirements, and funding-related compliance standards are met
  • Manage provider and team performance
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders across the organization
  • Participate on the Total Quality Team
  • Support budgeting, reporting, and department dashboard review
  • Help strengthen workflows, care delivery, and patient outcomes
  • Provide limited clinical care as part of the 20% clinical component
  • Support holistic, community-based women’s health services

Team Oversight

The Lead OB/GYN Physician will provide oversight for a multidisciplinary women’s health team, including:

  • 1 Physician Assistant
  • 2 Nurse Practitioners
  • Medical Assistants
  • Front desk and operational support staff

Ideal Candidate

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Experience in OB/GYN clinical care
  • Prior leadership, administrative, quality, or departmental management experience
  • Strong understanding of holistic, patient-centered care
  • Ability to manage teams, performance, reporting, and quality goals
  • Comfort working in a mission-driven community health setting
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Compensation

Annual salary range: $295,000 – $303,000
