About the role

Locum tenens OB/GYN position caring for low and high‑risk pregnancy patients, performing routine and complicated deliveries (including cesarean sections) and laparoscopic procedures such as ectopic pregnancy removal and oophorectomy.

Responsibilities

• Manage 2‑10 patients per shift.
• Handle 1‑2 admissions per 24‑hour period.
• Provide 2nd call/backup coverage with a 30‑minute response time.
• Perform routine and complicated vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Conduct laparoscopic procedures (ectopic pregnancy removal, ovary removal).
• Interpret fetal heart rate tracings (NST, CST, FSE) as preferred.

Requirements

• Current hospital privileges.

Skills

• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) preferred.
• Proficiency in laparoscopic surgery (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy).
• Experience managing low‑ and high‑risk obstetric patients.
• Ability to perform cesarean sections and complicated deliveries.
