About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at VCU Health seeks a candidate to provide specialty care in General Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position includes providing care primarily in general Obstetrics and Gynecology, including surgery, in- and outpatient consultation, and performance of therapeutic procedures. The candidate will also participate in student and resident education.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: Actively participate in departmental educational activities, focusing on the core educational objectives in general obstetrics and gynecology.
• Research: Initiate and participate in departmental research initiatives and contribute to scholarly publications and presentations.
• Service: Serve on departmental, health system, and university committees as needed, and engage in professional activities within the field.
• Clinical: Full participation in the clinical activities of the general obstetrics and gynecology division, which may include clinic, inpatient care, surgery, and participation in nighttime call duties.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency.
• Eligibility for a Virginia medical license.
• Potential for scholarship or creative expression to complement and expand existing expertise in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
