OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY HOSPITALIST
About the role
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist with greater than three years of experience to join their growing team in a quaternary care center with a strong referral base.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with community physicians to ensure high-quality care for patients presenting to the hospital.
- Manage routine obstetrical and gynecologic services, as well as high-risk procedures.
- Support a multidisciplinary team of midwives, maternal fetal medicine specialists, and neonatologists.
- Work on the labor floor, postpartum maternity, emergency department, triage, inpatient consults, emergent and elective gynecologic surgeries, and outpatient care.
- Participate in a hybrid, hospital-based practice with an average of 178 monthly clinical hours.
- Conduct a combination of three to four 8-hour office sessions, 24-hour inpatient shifts, or 16-hour inpatient shifts.
- Involvement with Memorial’s ACGME-accredited OBGYN Residency Program is strongly encouraged.
Requirements
- Training from an ACGME-accredited institution.
- ABOG active candidate or ABOG Board Certified Diplomate (preferred).
- Extensive experience managing high acuity/high-risk cases and complex conditions.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida.
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
