OBRA/Psychiatric Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments, administers appropriate screenings, injections, medications, and documents in the electronic health record
• Collaborates with members of the team and external providers to ensure coordination and monitoring of medical and behavioral health services
• Provides education on medication, wellness and health issues to consumers, providers, family members and staff
• Affords assistance in planning, linking, advocacy

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited nursing education program
• Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a Registered Nurse
• One to two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, preferred
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness
• Must possess excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously and work independently
