About the role

Apart from the hospital-employed position, this role offers a balanced 60% obstetrics and 40% gynecology focus. It includes access to robotics and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinic schedule of approximately 20-25 patients per day, with 30 minutes for new visits and 15 minutes for follow-ups.
  • Operate an on-campus clinic with three examination rooms per provider, two procedure rooms, an onsite ultrasound facility, and a nearby regional laboratory.
  • Participate in minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, with access to ten operating rooms equipped with MD/CRNA anesthesia.
  • Collaborate with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center residents and neonatologists from the Level III NICU, which houses 30 beds.
  • Engage in practice call primarily for obstetrics, with a 1:3 rotation, and residents taking unassigned emergency department calls.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have completed their residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and be board-certified. Experience with robotic surgery is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess excellent communication skills, a collaborative attitude, and a commitment to high-quality patient care. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Skills

Strong surgical skills, ability to manage a busy clinic schedule, proficiency in robotic-assisted procedures, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package including 30 days of paid time off (including five CME days), a CME allowance, claims-made malpractice insurance with tail coverage, life and AD&D insurance, health and dental coverage, and a 401(k) plan. The compensation package includes a base salary of $450,000, an annual quality incentive of $20,000, a signing bonus, relocation assistance, and a weighted RVU plan.

Pay

The starting pay range is $450,000 to $800,000 annually, with historical earnings at the 90th percentile.

Schedule

The schedule consists of four and a half days of clinic work and one day dedicated to gynecologic surgery, with a total of 4.5 clinic days per week.
