About the Role

The Memorial Regional Hospital, a designated Level 4 Maternity Center and a Level 4 Neonatal Unit, is seeking a BE/BC physician for a one-year OB Hospitalist fellowship opportunity. This advanced non-ACGME training position is designed for an OB/GYN who has completed an ACGME approved residency and hold an active medical license, and DEA number. The Fellow will gain extensive hands-on experience, including the surgical management of Placenta Accreta Spectrum and other complex high-risk obstetrical procedures. The selected physician will also play a key role in resident education, with opportunities to teach cesarean sections and operative vaginal deliveries. Additionally, the Fellow will help oversee the High-Risk Obstetrics inpatient unit and contribute to clinical care in the High-Risk OB outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Gain extensive hands-on experience in surgical management of Placenta Accreta Spectrum and other complex high-risk obstetrical procedures.
  • Teach cesarean sections and operative vaginal deliveries to residents.
  • Oversee the High-Risk Obstetrics inpatient unit.
  • Contribute to clinical care in the High-Risk OB outpatient clinic.
  • Broaden clinical and cultural perspectives in global women's health through a one-month international rotation in Ghana, West Africa.

Requirements

  • Completed an ACGME approved residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Active medical license and DEA number.
