OB/GYN Physician
About the role
Women’s Obstetrics & Gynecology, part of Physicians for Women’s Health (PWH) and affiliated with Women’s Health Connecticut, is seeking a full-time Physician to join our OB/GYN practice in Trumbull, CT. The practice includes 4 MDs, 1 ND, 1 PA, and 1 DO, with physicians sharing equal call and serving patients across two office locations. The practice is affiliated with Bridgeport Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examinations.
- Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
- Instruct and counsel patients on compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
- Develop and implement patient management plans, follow hospitalized patients as appropriate, record progress notes, and assist in providing continuity of care.
- Gain competence in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Submit billing at the time of office visit.
Requirements
- Experience in OB/GYN or Women’s Health.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN.
- Active Connecticut medical license.
- Federal and State controlled substance licenses.
- BLS certification.
- Eligible for hospital privileges.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), listening, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of fetal growth and development, with the ability to identify and address age-specific patient needs.
