About the Role
Join our seasoned and growing team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) supporting 12 OB/GYNs and 11 CNMs with postpartum rounds, discharges, and surgical care. This day-shift role includes full-body care (FBC) rounds, first-assisting in gynecology cases (including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries), and assisting with C-sections. Open to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients under established guidelines and in collaboration/supervision with practice physicians.
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists or other health team members.
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice as designated by protocols.
- Identify problems outside of scope of practice and refer appropriately to physicians.
- Conduct postpartum rounds and discharges.
- First-assist in gynecology cases, including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
- Assist with C-sections.
Qualifications
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
- Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
- New graduates welcome.
Schedule
Full-time nights with a flexible schedule. Premium differentials offered. No call required.
