OB/GYN Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Des Moines, Iowa

About the Role

This position involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services in a hospital setting, covering both routine and emergency cases. The clinician will manage labor, delivery, and gynecologic procedures, including cesarean sections, responding to emergencies with 24-hour call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Respond to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Perform cesarean sections and gynecologic procedures
• Manage labor and delivery cases during assigned shifts
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
• Provide on-site obstetric and gynecologic care
• Manage a caseload of 3-5 patients daily
• Participate in 24-hour call shifts for emergency coverage

Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (negotiable)
• Experience in managing obstetric emergencies and procedures
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Strong documentation and patient care skills
