OB/GYN - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This role involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a facility with fewer than 100 beds, requiring 24-hour call coverage for emergency cases. The clinician will manage approximately 350 deliveries annually, performing full-scope OB and GYN procedures during assigned call periods and responding promptly to emergencies. The position is on-site, with no outpatient responsibilities, and focuses solely on inpatient care in a non-trauma center setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB and GYN procedures during call shifts
• Respond to obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Manage a high volume of deliveries with experienced support staff

Requirements

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• NY state medical license
• Ability to handle emergency obstetric and gynecologic cases
• Full availability during call shifts
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced inpatient environment focused on maternal health outcomes
