OB/GYN Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

We are seeking an Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) clinician for a critical access facility in Iowa. The position involves providing inpatient and outpatient care in both clinic and operating room settings, with 24-hour on-site availability during coverage periods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinic visits and manage a daily patient load of 16–18 patients
• Provide call coverage, managing up to 2 patients during call shifts
• Participate in a 1:3 call rotation with continuous on-site presence during coverage periods
• Deliver care in operating room settings
• Adhere to clinical protocols and structured workflows
• Exercise prescriptive authority

Schedule

Structured as one week on, one week off.

Support & Team

• 1.5 employed FP/OB physicians available for support
• 24/7 anesthesia call coverage
• No APPs or CNMs involved in OB care

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should possess relevant board certification or be open to negotiation.
