OB/GYN Hospitalist Physician Position in Raleigh, NC
About the role
Unified Women's Healthcare of North Carolina seeks an Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist to join their Women's Health Care Center in Raleigh, NC. The practice provides a team‑based approach to patient care, focusing on an individualized and meaningful patient experience. The practice team includes 10 physicians, 2 nurse practitioners, and 1 certified nurse midwife, serving the Raleigh metro area for over 40 years. Deliveries and GYN surgeries are performed at University of North Carolina Rex Hospital, a world‑class facility equipped with a da Vinci robotic system and a high‑level NICU. Responsibilities
- Perform obstetric deliveries (estimated 10‑25 per month depending on shifts worked).
- Provide gynecologic surgery coverage as needed.
- See practice patients in clinic (approximately 2 days per month, flexible hours).
- Work nocturnist/hospitalist shifts (typically 14‑hour shifts, 7‑12 shifts per month).
- Collaborate with hospital‑employed physicians who triage and see unassigned patients.
Requirements
Board‑certified or board‑eligible Obstetrician‑Gynecologist (MD or DO).
Qualifications
Experience in labor and delivery and hospitalist settings preferred.
Skills
Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology, ability to work in a team‑oriented environment, and effective communication.
