OB/GYN Assessment Center Physician

About the role

The OB/GYNs providing 24/7 coverage of the assessment center will treat and triage patients with gynecologic emergencies and provide obstetric services as needed, including patient evaluation, clinical management, and assistance with vaginal and operative deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the community OB/GYNs to ensure that every expecting mother presenting to the assessment center is provided exceptional care.
• Collaborate and coordinate with board-certified emergency medicine and family practice physicians trained in emergency care for non-obstetric patients.
• Participate in graduate medical education through involvement in the thriving OB/GYN residency at Woman’s Hospital.

Requirements

• Completion of a ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program.
• Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG).
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
• At least two years of experience in a full scope OBGYN setting.

Pay

• Flexible schedule available (12 or 24-hour day and night shifts).
• Full time: 13, 12-hr shifts per month.
• Part time: 7 or 10, 12-hour shifts per month.
• No on-call obligation.
