About the role

The Teacher position at our school is responsible for developing and delivering instruction to secondary students. They also contribute to curriculum development and assessment, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers individual or cooperative instructional lessons that meet the needs of all students.
• Plans and implements department or grade-level curriculum goals and instructional objectives.
• Establishes a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, participation, and mutual respect, aligning instruction with curriculum goals.
• Uses a variety of instructional methods, materials, and resources to enhance student engagement and academic outcomes.
• Grades tests, exams, assignments, and projects; evaluates student performance and provides feedback.
• Maintains open communication with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians to support student growth and academic success.
• Supports the implementation of school policies and promotes positive behavior.
• Maintains accurate records and participates in professional development to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
• Assists with school-related activities as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of related work experience.
• Valid Florida teaching certificate covering appropriate area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard computer applications.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to work effectively under stress and multitask.
• Ability to organize self and prioritize tasks.
• Bilingual skills are encouraged.
