OA FIRST PROCESSING SHUTTLE TRUCK DRIVER 2ND SHIFT

About the role

The primary responsibility is to safely transport products between production/storage areas and delivery destinations using forklifts and other equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of Butterball's supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Perform forklift checks daily to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Complete all required paperwork pertaining to product, orders, placement, and inventory.
• Ensure punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
• Adhere to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines.
• Communicate with drivers, coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
• Account for all products and materials in assigned area including inventory and product location.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with foot traffic and material handling traffic.
• Use a handheld scanner to scan products.
• Safely operate forklifts (sit down or stand up, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies).
• Follow all instructions and work under minimal supervision.
• Obtain PIT certification.
• Able to communicate with all levels of management.

Qualifications

• Prior Forklift Operator Experience.
• Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills

• Ability to work in a high-noise environment.
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends if needed.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions including damp, cold, wet, hot, or warm environments.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule
