O/N Merchandising Lead
About the role
Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs; offering guidance and support regarding self-service technology; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving member issues and concerns; and promoting the company's products and services.
Assists management with supervising associates in assigned areas by assigning duties; communicating goals and feedback; training associates on processes and procedures; providing direction on member service approaches and techniques to ensure issues are resolved according to company guidelines; ensuring compliance with company policies; supporting the Open Door Policy; and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
Responsibilities
- Receives and stocks supplies and merchandise from distribution centers and vendors; organizes and maintains the sales floor using equipment, merchandising, and completing required documentation.
- Maintains facility safety according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps; following procedures for forklift spotting, hazardous materials handling, and disposal; adhering to steel standard guidelines; and reporting unsafe situations.
- Ensures sales floor and merchandise presentation compliance by handling claims and returns; zoning, stocking, arranging, and organizing merchandise; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; removing damaged goods; signing and pricing merchandise; identifying shrink and damages; and securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
- Monitors food and merchandise quality by ensuring product rotation, code dating, product recalls, and sanitation standards; merchandising area categories; and stocking, zoning, and cleaning all departments.
- Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support; and modeling adaptability to change.
- Oversees the picking and staging of club pickup orders throughout the day, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and business partners; analyzing information from multiple sources; monitoring progress; and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrates and promotes compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by explaining, guiding, and applying them in business processes; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with ethical and compliance issues.
Requirements
- 6 months of retail experience and 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Pay
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 to $31.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage for the job location. Additional premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
